BitBoy drops defamation suit against Atzoy

Crypto YouTuber BitBoy has dropped his defamation case against fellow YouTuber and crypto content creator, Atzoy.

In a live stream on Wednesday, August 24, Ben Armstrong known across the internet as BitBoy said “we are going to drop the lawsuit, 100%. I’m sorry it became public”.

Armstrong filed a lawsuit against Erling Mengshoel Jr, aka Atzoy, for allegedly defaming him in a video named “This YouTuber Scams His Fans…BitBoy Crypto” on November 8.

The video was alleged to have denigrated Armstrong’s name and business so he filed a suit to defend his reputation against the video, which suggested he would soon be under the watchful eye of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

However, Armstrong is now retracting his lawsuit against Mengshoel stating he had no idea of his own popularity. “I didn’t understand that my name is now so big that if I file a lawsuit it would be found and be made public. I’m not suing someone over their opinion”.

In his live stream video, Armstrong said he has emailed his lawyer to pull the lawsuit.

This is not the first suit filed against a company by the YouTuber, in June BitBoy threatened to sue Celsius after the company blocked his withdrawals, and shortly after, the US cryptocurrency lender declared itself as bankrupt.
