Ivy League School to Accept Cryptocurrencies

The Wharton School is one of the most prestigious schools in the US. Students who attend this school typically have very successful careers and futures ahead. The latest news is that it will now be accepting crypto assets for online courses on blockchain.

It is no secret that blockchain developers are in high demand. Universities around the world have started to adopt blockchain curriculum as the younger generation gets involved in the sector.

Arizona State University now offers a degree in Engineering Blockchain Applications. Cornell University now offers courses such as Introduction to Blockchains, Cryptocurrencies, and Smart Contracts, with many other similar options.

Wharton’s online blockchain course becomes the first Ivy League school to allow for payments in cryptocurrencies. This six-week course is titled “Blockchain Economics and Digital Assets”, and is stated to teach students about digital assets and the economics behind their value-generating principles. The course is also aimed at helping businesses incorporate blockchain and digital assets.

Some of the topics covered include smart contracts, blockchain applications, decentralized finance, valuation, and investing. Wharton has teamed up with companies to help facilitate this offering. It has partnered with Coinbase and will allow deposits from Coinbase accounts.

The school is also working with Prysm Group who will be developing the program and offering certificates.

Cryptocurrency continues to grow in the US, and many of the younger generation are found to trust digital assets over federal ones.

University prices have soared, and the cost of attending is now 50% higher than it was 10 years ago. Many will look to use digital assets instead of traditional stocks to be able to afford tuition. Already 10% of the students paying for tuition are doing so with cryptocurrency.

The Ivy League course starts January 2022, costing $3800. Given the demand for blockchain, it could be worth the price.

It is an exciting time to be in the digital currency space. We recommend checking out Bitcasino, 1xBit, or FortuneJack.
